The next gathering of EAA Chapter 288 will be held in Keith Philip’s hangar, 222 Cessna Blvd, Port Orange (inside the Spruce Creek fly in community) on March 21, 2019 at 1900 EDT.
Dave Baldwin will update the chapter regarding the Ray Aviation Scholarship.
This month’s speaker will be Greg Gibson from Sun ‘n Fun.
Greg has been involved in airshow operations for over 15 years. From team coordination and marketing for some of the world’s top performers to operating the nation’s second largest aviation event, Greg has been extensively involved in every level of airshow production. He has worked for the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team, Greg Poe, and the Red Bull Air Race World Championship with Mike Goulian. Greg prefers mostly vintage tail wheel aircraft, namely the PT-17 Stearman and AT-6 Texan. Greg is the Chief Marketing Officer and Airshow Director at SUN ‘n FUN.
Greg will be speaking on the impact that 45 years of SUN ‘n FUN is now having on the next generation of aerospace professionals through the Aerospace Center for Excellence. He will also bring us up to date on the plans in progress to relocate and improve Homebuilders’ parking and experience at SUN ‘n FUN
Volunteers are needed for chair set up / hangar configuration on Thursday, 21 March: show time 5:30. A workforce is also needed on Friday morning for Clean-Up. We will convene at 9:00. Thanks in advance for The Teamwork.
